The artwork I create at scribblyjoe blends whimsical illustration with a bit of childlike abstraction. I love using bold, fluid lines to define quirky characters and surreal landscapes that feel like they’ve emerged from the subconscious. Colour is a big part of what I do—vibrant and unexpected tones bring a sense of introspection and energy to my pieces. A lot of my work explores themes like human interaction, equity, and emotional depth, but in a way that feels free and fluid, where reality and imagination blend together. Through exaggerated forms and soft, organic shapes, I aim to create a sense of warmth and meditation. I draw inspiration from a range of artists, from the bold lines of Keith Haring to the playful yet deep work of Jean-Michel Basquiat, and the surreal imagery of artists like Picasso and Miro. Ultimately, I want my art to invite people to reflect, engage, and dive into a quiet exploration of both the everyday and the internal.
